Types of DUI / OVI and the tiered penalty system In Ohio there are several different types of DUI / OVI, but the three most common are:

Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Operating a vehicle with a breath alcohol concentration over 0.08 but less than 0.17

Operating a vehicle with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.17 or higher
